THE FROGNOT STORE:  In 1926, Otis and Hazel Dixon opened Frognot General Store, where they sold Sinclair gasoline for $0.10 (ten cents) a gallon,  staples like salt, bread, milk, and sometimes vegetables from their garden.  They also sold Black Angus beef from the livestock raised by Otis (called "Ode dear" by Hazel)  -- long before Black Angus beef was known as a premium product.  The store was a gathering place for the local folk, where the idea of starting Frognot Water Supply Corporation was born.  Click BELOW on the Frognot Store & hear  about it!
Neil Barnett, former Board of Director for Frognot WSC (2001-2006), in front of the Frognot Store.  Cindi Burns, the granddaughter of Lamarteen Barnett, took the picture (1985-1986 timeframe). The photo will be etched onto a Collin County Historical Marker & placed at the original site where the general store had been.
